Can you say excited???

-Our planning session at rach's dorm... we couldn't contain the excitement!

We've got 8 days til the big trip all the way to Biloxi, MS! Our plans with the Hurricane Disaster Relief ministry at camp Biloxi are set. They will be assigning us as a group, or to work with a group of others very shortly, and they will provide us a place to stay at the camp.

AND we were able to land an interview with the founder of Paste Magazine for June 7th while we are in the Atlanta area! Thanks to kathy and her sister Nan for the help there!! Last spring I wrote a 12 page paper about how singer/songwriters are able to maintain their authenticity in this world of big businesses and big recording companies who are mainly concerned with the artists ability to make money. Since then, I've subscribed to Paste and I really enjoy what they've been doing for independent artists. Their articles are about the actual music and the process of writing, and it really gets past all of the super-star gossip, right into some really raw and fleshy topics. Not only that, but they are constantly exposing their subscribers to new music through their sample CDs (and sometimes DVDs) that come out in every issue. It's going to be so great to be able to ask about how they're able to do the work that they do.

I just got a shipment of CD Jewel cases, and I'm waiting on the actual CDs. Some of you know, I sold out of my first 250 CDs!! So I just made another order, and it should all arrive before we go.

Thanks to the people who have already donated money to the trip! Your cards and donations are so great, I'm really feeling a lot of support from friends and family, which I couldn't be more thankful for.

Thanks for reading! There will be plenty more posts/pictures when we start the long drive down!
